Design

File Types
We normally require all artwork to be submitted as vector artwork. Vector artwork is digital art composed of mathematical lines and curves. This means, vector images can be reduced or enlarged in size without any loss in image quality. This is important for us to ensure a good print. Vector file types include .ai, .eps, .ps, .indd, .pdf, and .cdr.
However, if you would like to print a photograph or a full colour picture (i.e. with gradients), you may submit to us a raster image (.psd, .tif, .jpg, .gif, and .bmp.). The minimum DPI (dots per inch) requirement is 300. Low resolution images would not be sufficient. Art not supplied in print ready format will need to be redrawn and this may incur a fee.

Artwork Creation & Ownership
Any artwork you submit to us which we are not creating (only printing) is owned by you or its rightful owner, not SaltyCustoms. We will not reproduce your artwork, trademarked or not, without your consent.
Likewise, all artwork created by SaltyCustoms is the sole property of SaltyCustoms. Rights to the artwork can be purchased in addition to the creation fees.

Artwork Alignment & Adjustments
Don't worry if you're unsure on how your artwork should be placed and aligned on your T-shirt. You can leave it to our experience to propose the ideal placement based on your design. Just let us know!
Do note that all shirt sizes in your order will have the same image size unless otherwise requested. If you would like the size of your artwork to fit proportionally on a wider variety of shirt sizes, please specify accordingly when placing your order. Our Apparel Consultants can discuss the options with you to make sure that everything turns out great!

Choosing Your Sizes
Can't decide between a small and a medium? Should you go for RegularFit or SkinFit? Sizing charts with detailed measurements are available on the products page (Basic Range) (SaltyCustoms Range).
If you have any further uncertainties, just give us a call and speak to one of our Apparel Consultants and they'll be happy to help you choose the perfect sizes for everyone in your group! Alternatively, you could drop by the Academy to try on the sizes for yourself (map)

Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ)
Under our Basic Range, you can order just 100 pcs through our screen printing or digital printing services. If your design contains more than 5 colors, higher minimums may apply and special print methods will have higher MOQ as well.
The minimum quantity for each product is noted in the product page (Basic Range) (SaltyCustoms Range). Please call us if you require further assistance.

Items Out Of Stock
Unfortunately, at times some products may run out of stock. We do our best to provide a complete inventory at the time of request, but we cannot "hold" goods unless the order has been confirmed.
Should products run out of stock, we will do our best to find a replacement and get it approved by you before using it.

Customer Supplied Apparel
If you require print-only services and are providing your own apparels to be printed on, we requested an itemized list of each style, colour, size and quantity being delivered. We will check the delivered quantity with the stated quantity but will not be responsible for shortages.

Prices
Your all-inclusive price is primarily determined by three things: the product you select, total number of colours needed for printing and the quantity ordered. Other factors such as personalization or special requests also affect the cost. Deliveries and rushed orders are a separate cost. Just a tip! Select the product range appropriate for your budget or consider reducing the amount of prints/colors on your design to maximize your savings.
All quotes given are valid for 7 days and maybe subject to change thereafter.

Samples
If you need a sample of a product before ordering, either blank or printed, give us a call. One of our Apparel Consultants will be happy to arrange shipment of a sample of some of our past works/blank samples whenever possible, usually for a small fee. Alternatively, you could always drop by the Academy to loan a sample. A deposit payment which will be refunded once the sample has been returned will be required.
Ordering & Payment

Confirming Your Order
To confirm your order, we require confirmation of 3 things (also what we like to call the "trinity"). This will be, your design, size-breakdown and deposit. Once these 3 things are confirmed your order will be locked down into the production queue and the lead time for your order begins.

Deposit Payment
For every order, we require a 60% deposit for confirmation and the balance 40% upon delivery (50% for schools and charitable organizations). Payment must be made within 3 working days from the invoiced date to keep your order on schedule. We cannot guarantee delivering your order to you on time if this deadline is missed.

Design Confirmation
Once you submit your design, the SaltyCustoms' creative team will review your design thoroughly to ensure a quality print. Once we've completed the process, we'll email you a visual proof showing the detailed design as we plan to print it for your approval before we begin production.
IMPORTANT: All visuals and samples must be approved within 24 hrs or the turnaround time may be delayed.
Changes to the artwork after approving the visuals could increase lead times. Changes to artwork after production has begun will incur additional charges and would increase lead times as well.

Lead Times & Rushed Orders
Lead times for our various products vary. You may check the lead times for each product here (Basic Range) (SaltyCustoms Range).
If you have a rushed order or a specific deadline which is less than our standard lead time, the only way to ensure your order is completed in time is by paying a rush fee . Please call us immediately to see if your deadline can be met. If we expect or foresee any problems coming with your deadline, we’ll be sure to let you know and work with you to rectify it.
Once the trinity has been confirmed (see 'confirming your order'), cancelations will not be accepted. Changes to your order after confirmation will incur additional charges and would increase lead times.
Public holidays do not count as production days towards lead times. If your lead time falls on any such dates we will notify you accordingly.

Over / Underruns & Invoiced Quantities
Due to the nature of the cutting & sewing business, there is a leeway of 3% increase or decrease from the total quantity ordered for orders 200 pcs and above.
All orders within the under/over run allowance of the desired quantity will be considered acceptable for delivery. Eg. 206 pcs or 194 pcs delivered. For this reason, if you require an exact size-breakdown or a minimum amount of t-shirts, we highly recommend you to order a little extra. Do notify us of this beforehand so that we may advice you on the most suitable solution and make the necessary arrangements for production.
Your final invoice will reflect the total quantity delivered. This total quantity will be within the under/over run allowance for your order.
Because we bill on actual quantity, this is why we only require a 60% payment to begin your order. The balance, based on the quantity delivered is then due upon delivery. The price/piece will not change.

Packing
Your t-shirts will be individually packed in poly-bags to ensure freshness, then signed, sealed, and delivered in our signature SaltyCustoms box(es).

Overdue Accounts
For any orders which are 7 days or more late on payment, an interest rate of 1.5% per month (28 days) will be imposed.
Shipping, Delivery & Returns

Shipping & Delivery
All local orders that have been completed will be prepared for you to pick up at the Academy .
We ship almost anywhere! If you require your tees to be delivered to you, we are able to do so through our logistic partners. Whether you're in Peninsula Malaysia, East Malaysia or anywhere else around the world, we will be able to get your tees to you.
Charges may be incurred depending on your location, the size of your order and our delivery schedule. Get in touch with us to find out what your delivery options are.

Returns / Problems with Orders
Please check your order and notify us of any problems within 72 hours of delivery. If there is something wrong with your order or if it's not what you were promised, we'll work to correct it. If your tees have any defects, tears or stains from inks you will be required to return them to us before we can replace them for you, so hold on to them!

T-shirt Care
In order to ensure image longevity and image vibrant-ness, we always recommend to “machine wash cold" with the shirts turned inside-out. Avoid ironing over prints.
Within 3-5% shrinkage may occur for 100% Cotton Gildan and SaltyCustom T-shirts. Always Machine wash cold, wash with like colours and hang dry your garments. Do not use a dryer as this may cause the Cotton to shrink more than the acceptable rate of 3-5%.
